Surly ECR, an excellent bikepacking rig

I have some .gpx data that needs to be cleaned up. A good friend of mine, Mike B (be sure to check out his write ups here), is practically my navigator and GPS tech guy. He has always proven reliable in getting the information to me that I need to make my way through this great State of ours. Before too long we will have the track ready. Stay tuned for some section by section description and discussion of "the long route".

  1. Is that Mike's ECR? Did he swap the Krampus? I'm eagerly awaiting seeing an "official" route. From the versions I've been looking at, there are several mystery sections (mysterious to me anyway) that I hope will get cleared up. Hurry up spring!

    1. Will,

Nah, Mike still has his Krampus. This was loaned to me last Fall from Harris @ Old Spokes Home. I rode it from the north border to Waitsfield. What a great riding rig. It was one size up from what I usually ride and was quite comfy on the rough stuff.
